Wright stays at Forest

Nottingham Forest have secured the services of Alan Wright for their play-off campaign after agreeing a loan extension with the veteran defender's parent club.

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has granted Forest permission to keep the 35-year-old full-back as they look to win promotion back to the Championship.

"We're grateful to Sheffield United as they could have recalled him, but it's great news he's here for the play-offs," admitted Forest boss Colin Calderwood.

Wright has made nine appearances since arriving at the City Ground in March.

Forest take on Yeovil Town in the semi-finals of the League One play-offs with the first leg at Huish Park on Friday evening.
