It was frustration for Forest as they failed to find a way past relegation-threatened Barnsley
“We’re staying positive and want the fans to stay positive with us," said the Reds' Andy Reid after the stalemate at the City Ground left his side with ground to make if they are to reach the play-offs.
Reid praised Forest for their 'work rate, performance and desire,' and manager Billy Davies said afterwards that he could 'ask no more' from his players.
"We have had very good chances and, on another day, we might have had the goals that our chances had created. But, at the moment, things are not going for us in front of our goal."
Opposite number David Flitcroft acknowledged that luck had gone the way of the visitors, saying: “I expected Forest to come at us like a Billy Davies team but you can’t bow down to it.
"You have to defend and my boys displayed an insatiable appetite to keep a clean sheet."
