Vine questions Dexter departure
Published : 06 Apr 2009 09:59:32

Blackstock has linked up with Forest until the end of the season, with the decision appearing to have been taken by the board. QPR boss Paulo Sousa has admitted he was not consulted on the deal and Vine is 'surprised' the club's top scorer was shipped out. Vine, who made his comeback from a long-term injury as a substitute in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace, has questioned the wisdom of the decision. "I was a bit surprised about Dexter," said Vine in the Daily Star. "He is our top goalscorer and there doesn't seem a lot of need to let your top scorer go in the last month of the season. "It doesn't really make sense, but it has happened. I am surprised as he is a striker who is fit and has done well this season. "I don't see the sense, but it is not my decision. However, everyone at the club has a job to do if we want to be successful."
