Tyson targets early return

Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson is hoping to make a quicker than anticipated return to first-team action as he battles back from a knee ligament injury.

The former Wycombe Wanderers forward has been sidelined since landing awkwardly in the opening game of the season against Bradford City.

It had been thought that Tyson would not return to action until December but that now appears to have been a pessimistic forecast.

"Things are moving on quite quickly," said the 24-year-old.

"I've seen the doctor and he's told me I can do quite a lot more. The way things are going I could be back earlier than expected.

"If things continue to go well, I could be back in full training in four to five weeks. I could be back playing in November, which is a massive bonus for me."
