Tyson gives cause for concern

Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson could miss the start of the season after suffering another hamstring injury.

The former Wycombe forward, who has been troubled by hamstring problems throughout his career, sustained his latest setback in the pre-season friendly against Sunderland.

Forest boss Colin Calderwood admitted: "It's unfortunate, because we'd done a lot of work with him and we felt he was in tip-top condition.

"But he's felt it again slightly, so we've had another scan and we can take things from there once we have the results.

"Last year, it looked as though he'd be out for a considerable period and he wasn't, because we were able to manage the situation. Hopefully we'll be able to do the same thing again.

"I don't think there's a way to cure the problem permanently, he's just so finely tuned. We'll have to accept that it's part of his make-up."
