Tyson could face FA sanctions

Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson is in hot water after the Football Association confirmed it will be investigating his actions after Saturday's incident-packed 3-2 victory against Derby County.

After the final whistle, Tyson grabbed the corner flag containing the Forest badge and waved it towards the Rams fans as he walked across the box in front of them.

It sparked some ugly scenes with players from both sides clashing in a mass brawl.

The FA has confirmed it will be investigating the incident "as a matter of urgency".

The Rams' chief executive and president Tom Glick said of the fracas: "As it stands, we've had no formal contact from the FA in regard to the incidents that occurred at full-time.

"Mark Arthur (Forest chief executive) apologised to Nigel Clough and to a number of our directors, so I believe both clubs can work together to make sure the fall-out from this incident is dealt with in a professional manner."
