Tear sidelines striker Tyson

Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson will spend the next two weeks on the sidelines after a scan confirmed he suffered a torn hamstring in the victory against Port Vale.

The 25-year-old missed the Boxing Day draw at Oldham with the problem and is also expected to be sidelined for the games against Gillingham and Huddersfield Town.

Forest manager Colin Calderwood told the club's official website: "He's got a tear in his hamstring but the good news is that it's in an area that heals quickly.

"It will rule him out of the rest of the Christmas and New Year games but we're hoping that by the time we play Leyton Orient (on January 12) he'll be very, very close to returning."
