Strike pair pushing for Forest starts
Published : 15 Feb 2010 13:41:00

The 11-goal strikers were named on the bench for the defeat at Doncaster on Saturday. Paul Anderson was left out of the match-day squad at the Keepmoat Stadium and the midfielder will be eyeing-up a return to the squad. Forward Garath McCleary begins a three-match suspension following his red card against Doncaster after the club decided against an appeal. "I don't think he deserved to be sent off and it is very disappointing because we know he is not a dirty player," said boss Billy Davies. "The player he fouled, John Oster, jumped straight back up after the tackle without injury. That tells me Garath clearly went to win the ball. "It was not helped by the reaction of one or two Doncaster players - I felt the referee had to be stronger there. But the appeal situation is a waste of time." Defender Joel Lynch will be out for a month after sustaining a thigh injury.
