Pleat's Forest role irks Davies

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies insists he is not about to walk away from the club.

Reports have suggested Davies is unhappy with the role of David Pleat at the City Ground - the former Tottenham boss is currently working as a football advisor on the board.

"Whatever role the board of directors see David Pleat or anyone else having, we have no complaints," said Davies. "We'll continue to do our jobs.

"But David's role must be clearly identified at a boardroom level. It isn't for me to decide that role.

"I'll continue to work at this football club to deliver success and, contrary to what others might think, there's no chance of me doing anything else but standing firm as manager and working hard."
