Nottingham Forest's Bertrand gets England Under-21 call up

Nottingham Forest's on-loan left-back Ryan Bertrand has been called up to the England Under-21 squad for their European qualifiers next month.

Bertrand has been watched by former Forest player Stuart Pearce in recent weeks and is part of the 24-man squad that faces Liechtenstein and Portugal in early September.

The 21-year-old, on a six-month loan from Premier League side Chelsea, has already played five times for the Under-21s and has impressed in a Forest shirt this season.
