McKenna dealt knock-out blow for Forest

Nottingham Forest skipper Paul McKenna has been ruled out for the rest of the season. The midfielder will play no further part this term after sustaining knee ligament damage earlier this month. The problem proved to be much more serious than first thought as manager Billy Davies had hoped his captain would return to action before the end of the campaign. However, the 32-year-old is set to miss the club's six remaining Championship games as well as the play-offs if Forest are involved."He is finished. I don't think he'll make the play-offs, he is done," Davies told the club's official website."I have known this was a massive blow since he got injured. The last player we could afford to lose this season was him. I think we could have afforded to lose any player in the side this season - apart from McKenna. That is why it is such a blow. You could see that on Monday against Newcastle, he would have pulled people around."
