Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson has been ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments.

The nine-goal marksman had missed two months of the season after damaging his knee on the opening day of the season, but suffered a second rupture of his medial ligament during the 1-1 draw with Rotherham on April 9.

"Nathan has ruptured his medial ligament in his left knee again, so he's out for the season," Forest boss Colin Calderwood told the club's official website.

"Although it's the same knee, it's a completely new injury.

"It doesn't help and it has been a very unfortunate season for Nathan."
