Injured McGugan to miss out
19 Dec 2008 - 10:24:27
Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis McGugan has been ruled out of Saturday's trip to Southampton.
McGugan has missed the last two games with a thigh injury but was hoping to prove his fitness ahead of the Championship clash at St Mary's.
However, manager Colin Calderwood has revealed that Joel Lynch is expected to recover from the calf problem he sustained against Blackpool last Saturday.
"Lewis will miss out again but we're very hopeful regarding Joel," he told the club's official website.
"He is training and as long as he comes through without suffering any adverse reaction he'll be involved."
Meanwhile, Forest defender Brendan Moloney has backed the club to find the goals that will fire them to Championship safety.
Referring to last weekend's goalless draw with Blackpool, he claimed: "If we play like we did (on Saturday) every week, the goals will come.
"We have important games coming up in the next four weeks, so it's all down to us to do the business and if we play like that we shouldn't have a problem."
