Holt vows to stay at Forest
01 Dec 2006 - 15:42:28
Nottingham Forest striker Grant Holt is desperate to stay and the City Ground and fight for his future with the League One high-flyers.
The 25-year-old has been used mainly off the substitute's bench this season and has been linked with a loan move to Bristol City in recent weeks.
But Holt has vowed to remain at Forest and win back his first-team place.
"I'm not just here to January and then I'm not just here to the end of the season," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"I'm here to stay the length of my contract, of which I've got two years left after this.
"Hopefully I can do enough, keep performing and get back in the team before January. I will try to score a few more goals and hopefully get an extension.
"That's the aim. I don't want to be just a bit-part player. I want to be in the first team and show everyone what I can do."
