Holt set for City switch

Nottingham Forest striker Grant Holt is set to join League One promotion rivals Bristol City after the clubs reportedly agreed a fee for the player.

The 25-year-old, who only joined Forest in January from League Two outfit Rochdale in a £300,000 deal, has been made available by boss Colin Calderwood despite notching eight goals so far this term.

City chairman Steve Lansdown has confirmed the club have a lengthy list of transfer targets for the January transfer window and it seems they have offered Forest what they paid for Holt.

Holt is now set to hold talks with the Robins this week and could join before Thursday's loan transfer deadline with a view to a permanent deal in the new year.
