Holt happy with Forest
25 Jul 2007 - 14:57:23
Nottingham Forest striker Grant Holt says he is more than happy to stay at the City Ground, having looked set to leave the club last season.
The 26-year-old was linked with hometown club Carlisle United last term, but Holt now says any problems have been cleared up.
He told the Evening Post: "I'm happy to be here. I didn't think things were entirely right last year, but that has gone now.
"I don't want to dwell on that too much, I want to look to the future, because I'm happy and settled here.
"I've spoken to the manager, he's optimistic for me, he wants me to stay and I'm delighted that he's said that."
Holt joined Forest for £300,000 from Rochdale in January 2006 and has scored 21 goals in 74 appearances for the League One outfit.
