Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies is hoping to bring to an end a series of minor injury problems suffered by striker Robert Earnshaw.
The 29-year-old Wales international continues to be bothered by thigh and hamstring niggles and has scored just once so far this season.
Davies told the Evening Post: "We have given him a scan or two and we know that it is not just the hamstring.
"There are back issues and hip rotation problems involved with a lot of these players.
"You can point to a hamstring and say that it is the problem, but there can be other reasons behind it. You have to look deeper for the issues that cause the problem."
