Nottingham Forest have signed Birmingham City forward Gary McSheffrey on an initial month's loan.
The 26-year-old former Coventry City star has missed a large part of the current campaign due to a knee injury.
Forest boss Billy Davies told the club's official website: "He's a player I've admired for several years. He's a major threat as both a creator and scorer of goals and I'm sure he'll be a great acquisition for us.
"It's a fresh challenge for him coming to the City Ground and I'm very much looking forward to working with him over the course of the next month."
McSheffrey has scored 20 goals in 87 appearances for the Blues, having moved to St Andrew's in August 2006.
