Forest seal Blackstock deal

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of QPR striker Dexter Blackstock on loan until the end of the season.

Forest boss Billy Davies had made no secret of his desire to sign the former Southampton man as the Reds continue to fight against relegation from the Championship.

"I'm sure he will prove to be a great acquisition. It's no secret that we have been looking for a certain type of striker and Dexter certainly fits that bill," Davies said.

"I've been watching him with great interest for several seasons and he's got all the attributes of a top striker.

"Most importantly he scores goals but he's also got presence and good movement in his play.

"In addition to getting goals himself, I'm sure he will provide a lot of openings for others."
