Forest's Mills bid rebuffed

Nottingham Forest have failed with a second bid, believed to be in the region of £2million, for Doncaster Rovers defender Matt Mills.

The 22-year-old, who has also been linked with Premier League new boys Birmingham City and relegated Newcastle United, will be staying at the Keepmoat Stadium, according to Rovers chairman John Ryan.

He said: "Forest have made an enquiry, but we aren't interested in selling."

Mills has made 86 appearances for Rovers since joining the club from Manchester City, initially on loan, almost two years ago.
