Nottingham Forest have rejected a transfer request from unsettled striker Grant Holt.
The 26-year-old submitted a written request to manager Colin Calderwood following the breakdown in negotiations over a new contract.
Holt, who moved to the City Ground for £300,000 from Rochdale in January 2006, netted 17 times in 56 appearances last season.
"We can confirm Grant Holt tabled a written transfer request which has been rejected," confirmed a club statement.
