Forest pair settle differences

Nottingham Forest manager Robert Earnshaw has revealed that he has held clear-the-air talks with manager Billy Davies.

Earnshaw had previously claimed he had no issue with Davies following their supposed poor relationship at Derby County, but admitted that he had spoken to his new boss to build a bond between the two.

"When a new man comes in everybody asks themselves whether they're in his plans or not," Earnshaw said after Saturday's 2-0 win over Plymouth.

"To be fair me and the manager had a meeting and he said the slate's clean, we're starting afresh at a different club.

"Obviously the players can see the force of personality that he brings. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but it's working right now, so brilliant - we'll take it."
