Forest opt to keep Lynch

Nottingham Forest have extended Joel Lynch's loan spell at the City Ground by another two months.

The Brighton defender, who has made five appearances for Colin Calderwood's side in his first month with the club, will remain with Forest until December 28.

Meanwhile, Calderwood is looking forward to Sunday's Pride Park clash with Derby County as his side attempt to build on Tuesday's win at Crystal Palace, a result that lifted Forest off the foot of the Championship table.

He said: "I want my players to display their talents - I don't think we'll be inhibited by our league position and I don't think we'll be inhibited because it's a derby.

"I want a level of performance that we've had recently.

"That will have the Forest supporters on their feet and will give us a greater chance of winning the game than if we have to change our psychology in any way."
