Forest hero Pearce to take temporary England charge?

Stuart Pearce is poised for a spell as manager of the senior England team

With the Football Association still digesting the news of Fabio Capello's resignation, attention in the football world has immediately turned to the Italian's successor.

Harry Redknapp is the clear favourite but with his Tottenham side involved in a race for the Premier League title it will not be easy for the FA to get their man straight away.

Under-21 boss Pearce worked alongside Capello during his reign and, with England in friendly action against the Netherlands at the end of this month, could take temporary charge while a long-term plsn is put in place.
