Forest handed Lynch warning

Nottingham Forest have been warned that they will not be able to sign Brighton & Hove Albion defender Joel Lynch on the cheap this summer.

The 21-year-old impressed while on loan at the City Ground last season, but still has several years of his Seagulls contract to run.

Albion chairman Dick Knight told the Evening Post: "Joel will only leave the club if we get the right offer for him.

"He has two more years left on his contract and is a Brighton player.

"He is well under 24 and we've had him since he was ten years old, so he comes into that Bosman category."
