Forest complete Garner coup

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of highly-rated Carlisle United striker Joe Garner for a fee of just over £1million.

The 20-year-old former Blackburn Rovers youngster is currently sidelined by a knee injury, but he has still completed his move to the City Ground on a four-year contract.

Garner told his new club's official website: "I just can't wait to get out there.

"I've had a great spell at Carlisle and for a time last season it looked as though we might be going into the Championship and not Forest.

"But the Forest lads produced a great run at the end of the season and I think most people are happy to see this club going forward again.

"It's a fantastic move for me at this stage of my career and I am looking forward to getting out there and helping Forest try and get into the Premier League."
