Focus On Jenas As Forest Move On Up

All of the reaction to Nottingham Forest's big weekend win may have been focused on Jermaine Jenas but the Reds' result was impressive in its own right

The 4-1 thumping of Barnsley at Oakwell took Sean O''Driscoll's side to the verge of the play-off places and contained a host of fine individual performances.

Inevitably perhaps, though, it was the cameo display by on-loan Tottenham man Jermaine Jenas that provided the backdrop to most media reports of the game.

O'Driscoll afterwards admitted he had been 'wary' of taking on board a 'big name' player, especially when Jenas is far from guaranteed a regular start in the Forest side.

But he praised the impact that the midfielder has made, both on and off the pitch, telling the official club website: "His attitude has been great, he's got great experience and we've used his opinion on things because he has an influence on the group."
