FA charge Forest and Tyson

The Football Association has charged Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Forest striker Nathan Tyson following Saturday's controversial Championship encounter between the two clubs.

The sides have been charged with failing to control their players and officials while Tyson has been charged with improper conduct.

When the final whistle went after Forest had secured a 3-2 win, there was a confrontation between players and officials from both clubs while Tyson grabbed the corner flag containing the Forest badge and waved it towards the Rams fans.

All parties have until 18 September to respond to the charges.

Meanwhile, Forest boss Billy Davies has backed Tyson, saying: "We'll certainly defend Nathan in any way we can.

"I understand that the Derby players and staff were frustrated at the result.

"But if not for their intervention, when they confronted Nathan and physically pushed him towards the Derby fans, there wouldn't have been a flash-point. He'd have continued on his way towards the Brian Clough Stand."
