Earnshaw not thinking of Cardiff final

Nottingham Forest striker Robert Earnshaw insists a potential reunion with former club Cardiff in the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final has not even crossed his mind.Forest face Blackpool at the City Ground on Tuesday night needing to overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit to reach the Wembley showpiece on May 22. The other semi-final is just as delicately poised with Cardiff leading Leicester 1-0 ahead of their second leg in the Welsh capital tomorrow.Earnshaw, who began his career at Cardiff and spent seven years with the Bluebirds before joining West Brom in a £3million deal in 2004, said: "It would be a strange one for me if we came up against Cardiff in the final, but I hadn't even thought about it to be honest."It would be tough, but I'm a professional and I'm just focused on Forest. If we were to come up against Cardiff then I'm sure everyone would accept that I would be out there to do a job for Forest."But there's a long way to go before we can worry about that, let`s see what happens in the second legs. None of that matters until this week's games are over. Nothing is sorted at this stage."Everyone is trying to predict who will be in the final and who the best teams are on paper but the play-offs are always a bit of a lottery and the final is miles away for all four teams at the moment."
