Earnshaw is fine with Davies

Nottingham Forest striker Robert Earnshaw has denied rumours of a rift between himself and new manager Billy Davies.

Earnshaw played under Davies when the pair were at Derby County, but the Welsh international started just seven Premier League games for the Rams.

The pair have been reunited at Forest and Earnshaw played and scored in Saturday's win at Charlton Athletic.

Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham, Earnshaw hinted that he had ironed out any differences with Davies.

Earnshaw said: "We've had a chat and we're pushing in the same direction. That's what matters and we'll be okay.

"There's not a lot to it, if I'm playing well the manager will be happy. I put the effort in and score goals."
