Davies rues chances missed
Manager Billy Davies was left rueing missed first-half opportunities after Nottingham Forest suffered a 2-1 defeat in the first leg of their play-off semi final at Blackpool.Chris Cohen fired Forest into an early lead with an excellent outside-of-the-boot effort before Keith Southern levelled things up, allowing Charlie Adam to earn the Tangerines the win with a second-half penalty. But Davies believes his side have given themselves a chance of getting to the final despite their lack of cutting edge in front of goal."I think the first 45 minutes we should have been three or four up," he said. "We hit the bar and had one cleared off the line, we've had chance after chance. Never mind a draw we should have won it. But that's what happens when you're not clinical."In the play-offs it's all about getting to the second game with an opportunity to put yourself in the final and we've done that."
