Davies hopes win can build confidence

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies hopes the 2-0 victory over 10-man Burnley will give his promotion-chasing side an injection of confidence ahead of the end-of-season run-in.After Marvin Bartley had been dismissed in the 32nd minute for a rash challenge on Luke Chambers, substitute David McGoldrick struck a second-half brace as Forest claimed their first win in 10 matches and moved to within a point of the play-off places. It was no more than the hosts deserved after they dominated for large spells in the second half following a dour opening half. And Davies hopes the result will serve as a catalyst in the remaining six npower Championship games."I said we can't ask any more of these players, they've given us everything they've got. In the first half, the nervousness showed but they're a young side," said Davies."Great three points, though, and hopefully it'll settle them down."Hopefully our bag of misfortune is now over because we've had plenty of that over the last number of weeks. There is still a long way to go and a lot to play for."
