Davies expects tough campaign
Boss Billy Davies insists Nottingham Forest must have `humble` expectations next season. The Reds defied the odds to mount a promotion challenge this campaign but lost to Blackpool in the Championship play-offs after finishing third in the table.Davies has warned his side they do not have a divine right to push for promotion again and expects an equally-tough division next season."We have to be humble and grounded in our expectations," the Scot told the Nottingham Post. "We did an exceptional job last time and that will create a level of expectation but it was an over-achievement for us last season. I think most people would have been happy with a top-12 finish."Obviously, we did much better than that. But, as a club, as footballers and as supporters, I think we have to be humble this season. It will be a very tough job again and we have to remember that we have no right to be in the top six, the top eight or even the top 10. We have to earn that right all over again."There will be seven or eight teams who will challenge. It is going to be the same again - another very tough Championship."
