Davies desperate for midfield goals
Lewis McGugan's injury-time strike at Cardiff on Sunday was only the fifth time a midfielder had registered a league goal for the Reds this season. With strikers Dexter Blackstock, Robert Earnshaw and Nathan Tyson currently out injured, Davies is looking for more players to take responsibility for finding the back of the net. "We require goals from midfield. I will not sit back and watch any midfielder at this club play through a season and not chip in with four, six, eight or 10 goals," said the Scot. "Forward running from midfield is very important in our team and running beyond strikers and supporting strikers is very important. "A lot of them are young lads and we have got a lot of work to do with them, but the penny is dropping and that's great."
