Davies - Supporters crucial to promotion bid

Boss Billy Davies insists Nottingham Forest`s fans will be pivotal to the club`s automatic promotion challenge.The Reds slipped out of the top two after a first defeat in 20 Championship matches at East Midlands rivals Derby.But they made an immediate return to winning ways against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and are just a point behind second-placed West Brom going into the trips to Coventry and Doncaster this week."We have sold our 3,200 allocation of tickets (for Coventry) and a slightly bigger allocation at Doncaster. The fans are very important because they get behind us," said Davies."Their support has been nothing short of terrific. We have 17 games and 12 weeks to go and there is a fantastic challenge ahead of us."We don't believe we have any easy games left but if the fans continue to give us that kind of support it can only help us."
