Nottingham Forest have been boosted by the news that highly-rated winger Kris Commons has penned a new one-year deal with the League One side.
The 23-year-old former Stoke City star was out of contract at the City Ground but has now opted to stay at the club.
Forest's chief executive Mark Arthur told the club's official website: "Colin Calderwood and myself met today with Kris's representatives and we can now confirm he has agreed to sign a one-year extension to his current contract."
Commons has scored 28 goals in 114 appearances for Forest since his transfer from Stoke three years ago.
