Cohen commits to Forest

Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Cohen has pledged his long-term future to the club by penning a new four-year contract that will keep him at the City Ground until the summer of 2013.

The 22-year-old still had two years left on his previous deal but has been rewarded for an excellent season with the longer contract.

Forest boss Billy Davies said: "It's very important for the club to continue building and making progress.

"The fact that Chris Cohen wants to stay at the club speaks volumes and we're absolutely delighted that our Player of the Year is going to be on board for the foreseeable future.

"All the players know where we're looking to go and it's a great indication when players want to sign new contracts."
