Calderwood's plea to players

Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood has urged his players to maintain their good start to the League One campaign right through until next May. Saturday's 4-0 win against Chesterfield at the City Ground has left Forest three points clear at the top of the table following fives wins and a draw from their opening six games. Jack Lester, Neil Harris, Grant Holt and Nicky Southall were all on the scoresheet, but Calderwood urged the players to keep playing as they are. He said: "The players are all working their socks off at the moment, because we know as soon as we drop a notch we will be punished. "But the fact is we are being rewarded for the effort we are putting in and although Chesterfield caused us a lot of problems I was delighted with the way the players - and the crowd - responded. "We stayed calm, didn't do anything stupid and at the end got the result we wanted."
