Calderwood hails Salisbury

Relieved Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood hailed the performance of Salisbury after the non-league side took the League One leaders to a replay before exiting the FA Cup at the second round stage.

Goals from Nathan Tyson and Nicky Southall secured Forest's passage into the third round at the second time of asking and Calderwood was impressed by Salisbury.

"I went into the dressing room to speak to their manager and congratulate the players because I thought they were excellent," he told the club's official website.

"We knew we would have to work for it. A lot of people will respect Salisbury for the manner in which they have played over the two games.

"They didn't come here and try and turn the game into a war or a tactical battle. They came to play and that speaks volumes for them."
