Nottingham Forest captain Ian Breckin has penned a new 12-month contract extension at the City Ground.
Breckin, 32, was out of contract at the end of the season, but will now remain with the club until summer 2009.
The experienced defender has made over 120 appearances since joining Forest from Wigan Athletic in 2005.
"I've always regarded myself as fortunate to have had the opportunity to play for a club like Nottingham Forest, let alone be club captain," he told the club's official website.
"It's a great club and I'm excited about the possibility of having at least one more season in Nottingham."
