65th Meeting Between Reds And Blues
Nottingham Forest host Ipswich Town in the Championship this Saturday
The Reds are unbeaten at home against the Blues since their return to the second tier of English football in 2008, winning four and drawing one of the five games played at the City Ground.
Forest gained a nervous but crucial 1-0 win in the last meeting of the two sides in March as they continued their bid to make the play-offs. Lewis McGugan netted with just six minutes remaining against an Ipswich side that had been reduced to ten men.
Both teams go into this game in good spirits, Forest on the back of their away win at Sheffield Wednesday and the visitors after a trio of victories against Charlton, Blackburn and Huddersfield.
Former Reds striker David McGoldrick netted his eighth goal of the season against Huddersfield and his partnership with Daryl Murphy drew praise afterwards from manager Mick McCarthy.
"They're a good pairing," McCarthy told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"Murphs is stronger, powerful and a better target. David is more technical. If you mixed the two of them together you'd have one hell of a player."
