The club's plans to relocate visiting fans in the upper tier of the Bridgford Stand has drawn praise and criticism in seemingly equal numbers with those welcoming the positive atmosphere it will create balanced out by season ticket holders in the upper tier who face moving.

Former Reds defender Colin Cooper has been named as the new manager of Hartlepool United, a graveyard for many trying to make their name over the years but not, of course, for one Brian Clough who started on his path to glory with the North East side.

Tamworth manager Dale Belford believes the Conference club have pulled off a coup by landing defender Matt Regan after his release by Forest. The youngster has been on the books of both Liverpool and Forest in recent years and also played for England Under-17's.

"He's been a little unfortunate over the last 12 months with his departure from Liverpool and subsequently Nottingham Forest's decision to change direction with relation to their under-21s," Belford told the Tamworth Herald.

"Their loss could be our gain in my opinion."
