Nottingham Forest's new manager was key to the capture of Andy Reid Steve McClaren made the Irish winger his first signing as City Ground supremo on Friday, with Reid signing a two-year deal after the expiry of his Blackpool contract. And it is not sentiment or the thought of playing in the Championship that has brought Reid back to Nottingham to add to his record of 160 appearances for the club. "When I walked out of the manager's office after hearing his ambitions and where he wants to take the club, I had no hesitation in signing," said the 28-year-old. "Forest are very fortunate to have a top-class manager and I was very impressed by what he had to say."
