The 41-year-old, brought to Nottingham as part of Steve McClaren's backroom staff, has been appointed as the new manager of the Belgian side.
Hasselbaink, who left Forest in January, told Antwerp's website: "This was a very attractive proposition to begin my career as a coach."
The friendly will take place on Saturday 20th July with Hasselbaink looking to get Antwerp back into the Belgian top-flight. The club are perhaps best known in English football for their partnership with Manchester United which has seen a host of Red Devils go out on loan to Antwerp in recent years.
