Premier ambitions for Gunter
The defender, 20, joined the Reds from Tottenham this summer after a successful two-month loan spell at the City Ground last season.
He is one of nine new arrivals at the East Midlands club during the close season and believes Forest can lift the league title.
"We have the quality and strength in depth to do it," Gunter told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"There's not many other Championship teams spending this amount of money and a lot of the players brought in are proven at this level."
Forest begin their campaign against Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
