The 24-year-old had been out since suffering a stress fracture to a shin in April but played 55 minutes as a strong reserves side, which also included Luke Chambers, Robert Earnshaw, Joel Lynch, Garath McCleary, Lewis McGugan and Paul Smith, defeated Barnsley 2-1 at the City Ground on Tuesday.[LNB]"It just felt so good to be out there playing again. I wasn't worried about how my shin would stand up to it because I know it's fine," Perch told the club's official website. "It's the muscles I haven't used in seven months that might have caused me a problem but I came through okay and everything felt good[LNB]"I can feel it was a lot different in my lungs and my legs, so it was a good workout. I got an hour out of it and I feel good.[LNB]"I think they wanted me to play a half, but at half-time I said give me another 10 or 15 minutes. I felt like I could play 90 but I was a bit sensible and thought I don't want to risk anything.[LNB]"I'm a way off a first-team start, but I'm not quite a way off being involved in the first team."[LNB][LNB]
