Perch in line for Forest return
Nottingham Forest could have James Perch available for the trip to St James` Park to face Championship leaders Newcastle.
Perch, a transfer target for the Magpies in January, missed the home win over Crystal Palace after suffering a recurrence of an ankle problem.
But the Reds hope that after receiving a pain-killing injection, the versatile 24-year-old will get the all-clear to figure in the travelling squad.
Full-back Joel Lynch is edging closer to a return to full fitness after a thigh injury and may also be involved.
Victory would see Billy Davies` side become the only team this season to complete a league double over the Magpies having beaten them 1-0 in the reverse fixture at the City Ground in October.
