"Danny will be fit for Saturday, that is a massive boost for us," Deepdale boss Darren Ferguson told the Lancashire Evening Post on Wednesday. "He trained at United yesterday and will do so again today, and he comes back here tomorrow." Ferguson was left frustrated as his side were held to a home draw by Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night, leaving Preston firmly in mid-table despite a good record on their own patch this season. They will be looking to avenge a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the week before Christmas.
