Tesche out for Reds

Nottingham Forest will be without Robert Tesche for the Capital One Cup visit of Walsall.

Tesche suffered a suspected broken foot in the Reds' Championship opener against Brighton on Friday night. David Vaughan replaced the German at the Amex Stadium but academy product Jorge Grant is also an option in midfield for the first-round tie.

Central defender Kelvin Wilson is available after suspension while teenager Ollie Burke could be included in the squad after a hip injury.

Ben Osbourne (dislocated shoulder) is expected to be fit next week but Matty Fryatt (Achilles), versatile skipper Chris Cohen (knee) and Andy Reid (groin) remain a few weeks away from a return.

Walsall could be unchanged for the trip to the City Ground following a 1-1 opening day draw with Oldham.

Milan Lalkovic and Kieron Morris are pushing to start but boss Dean Smith could keep faith with the same side.

Tom Bradshaw is expected to be supported by Romaine Sawyers in attack after Sawyers opened the scoring against Oldham.

The Saddlers have no fitness worries heading into the first game between the sides in seven years.
