Lichaj could make Reds return

Eric Lichaj could return to the Nottingham Forest squad against Preston in the FA Cup.

The full-back has missed the league games against Bolton and Blackburn through injury. Fellow defenders Jack Hobbs and Jamaal Lascelles are recovering from the problems that kept them out of the 4-1 win over Rovers last weekend but they may not be risked against the League One side on Friday night.

Scouts of Premier League clubs hoping to see Karl Darlow might be disappointed with Reds boss Billy Davies, who was manager of Preston between August 2004 and June 2006, considering resting the highly-rated goalkeeper and handing a rare start to Dorus De Vries.

The likes of Guy Moussi, Darius Henderson, Matt Derbyshire, Radoslaw Majewski and Djamel Abdoun are also options for Davies ahead of the fourth round tie.

Preston will be without Kevin Davies when they travel to the City Ground.

The experienced striker will serve a three-match suspension, accrued following his sending off against Coventry, after the Lilywhites were unsuccessful in their attempts at an appeal.

Full-back Scott Wiseman will be available, though, after missing the third-round replay against Ipswich because he penned terms following the original clash, meaning he was ineligible.

Boss Simon Grayson has an injury-free squad to select from when his team meet Billy Davies, a former North End manager himself.
